Smart locks for rentals and internet?

This is my first rental and it is 2 hours away from me, in Fayetteville, NC.  I figured smart locks would be good for for showings, eliminate lock outs, and provide access for vendors.  Hat would I do about internet access for the locks so I can control remotely?  I was thinking that I would just include it with rent?  Any advice is much appreciated for this newbie.  Thank you!
