How Do I Notarize a Legal Document?

What's up BP,

I was wondering how landlords notarized contracted work for tenant improvements and their lease agreements for tenants. Do you draft the document and have a lawyer review it? Or is there another way to make these documents "official" to where they would hold up in court.

Make sure that:

1) Your lease document is legally sufficient.  Join your local rental housing owners association, they have these drafted by lawyers and are worth 100x the price you pay

2) Make sure your tenant signs/initials each page

3) Understand delivery requirements for any notice.  In Portland, it MUST be 1st class mail, door posts don't count.
