Pests and a Vacancy...
Hi folks, I’m a small time landlord and newer invested in the Columbus OH area. One of my tenants and I have been working on eliminating bedbugs from their bottom apartment in an up down duplex. We have treated twice with chemical treatments and the tenants have been steaming, drying and vacuuming constantly. They have not seen a bedbug for a couple months. Problem is, they have decided not to renew next month. I have read a million articles and a couple forum posts here. Just wanted to get some perspective as to what you folks would do before marketing the property to a new tenant? Should I leave it vacant and heat treat? One more round of chem and call it Legal ramifications, disclosure? Thanks for the time!
