Cant evict due to Covid , But you still may sue

Right now you cant evict a tenant . BUT why cant you sue them for the monies owed in civil court ?  This way you get a judgement and it accrues interest . Then you have the means to garnish wages , go after assets , and get a jump ahead . Sue for back rent .
