Landlord allows emotional support animal, still gets sued.

This is an unusual case, but I bring it up because it's likely to become more common as emotional support animals become more common.

Read the article all the way through. The Landlord did everything right, including seeking legal advice. He was still sued and he still lost.

Thank you for posting this. This is like playing chess!

So from now on I should be asking tenants if they have severe pet allergies. If it's a yes I get it in writing from their doctor so when someone with a service or support animal comes knocking and threatens to sue I can provide them with the doctor's letter.
