New investor in Michigan looking for tips

Hey guys, my name is Dairyion Gardenhire, I’m looking to take the big leap into become an investor/landlord/property management. I see a few homes I really like but I honestly don’t know exactly how to go about this.

Should I use a realtor?

Get the mortgage under me and rent it?

Anything anyone can offer as advice would be greatly appreciated!! I’m just looking to get my feet wet but I’m so ready to dive in!
