Lease signed, but father demanding additional upgrades
I recently signed a lease with 2 college women. Deposit was made. Move is is not for 2 weeks (April 2013).
Received a call from one of girls father's demanding additional upgrades in kitchen and floor. Daughter has him listed as source of rental payment ($500). He was out of town, but from his phone calls, he may be a constant badger. Since this is a bad scenario, I want to terminate agreement and find other tenants. Is this the wise thing and what legal bases should I examine?
Thanks to any who take their time with a helpful answer!

Sounds like the father just wants to make some extra money by "finding" something wrong with the unit.
