New Police Tool Allows Them to Seize Rentals Of Crimes
In addition to laws of many states, that allow local governments to seize assets involved in crimes, particularly in illegal drug-dealing; a new interpretation of the British Common Law of the Middle Ages, allows U.S. police dept.'s to seize any assets, which the police deem as criminal, at the discretion of the police to decide on this, as they are the sole arbiter to do so. Called Civilian Asset Forfeiture, this operates independent of court proceedings on criminal charges. In old Common Law, a weapon could be charged as guilty of a crime, & hence, could be seized as the King's new possession, & in law of centuries past. And in this new interpretation, the owner of seized property never has to be found guilty of any crime. This has grave implications for Landlords with Rentals. Via Google, is a posting on-line, by Jason Snead, & entitled, "Civil Asset Forfeiture: 7 Things You Should Know". And on U-Tube is a video, entitled,"Civil Asset Forfeiture: An Overview & Conversation [POLICYbrief]", & a video done by the Federalist Society. And it behooves Landlords to know what tenants are doing in Rentals, & eject those who are acting in criminal ways. (P.S., I know that member seek to be in contact with me, & still haven't figured out how to contact members, who wish to communicate with me. And I only learned what I know on Computers, in 2018)
