Evicting/removing a sublessee

NJ Ram
Posted

We have a student rental property. One of the girls moved out, and sublet her room (with our written permission), but the sublet has been making excuses for rent payments, and is now making similar excuses to leave.  Anyone dealt with this type of situation?  I know I can consult my attorney (and I have) but the legal route is going to be tough due the courts being closed due to COVID-19.  Thanks in advance for any advice

It is cheaper to pay a person to move out then try to hire a lawyer and fight the legal battle to get them evicted.
