Proration during COVID
Hi all,
Just writing to get some opinions on my situation.
I am living in the same house as my landlord (she owns the house - i pay her rent). Back in February I signed a "lease agreement" saying I would stay 6 months and then go month to month. PS- she explicitly told me 'its not that formal', and to just give her a headsup if something happens.
I got laid off July 1 from my job (after paying full rent for July) - immediately put my 30 days in (I will move back with family for awhile).
The kicker is that she has COVID and is absolutely not quarantining. She's going from her room on the 3rd floor, to her desk on the 2nd floor, to the kitchen on the 1st floor. Essentially taking up the whole house. I got tested 2x and tested negative so Im back at my parents until she tests negative.
I feel like I should be prorated the days when I cant come back into the house at all.
Thoughts?
