How much is rent in bastrop tx ?

What do you guys think about owning rental property in Bastrop TX ?

I live in Austin and I’m thinking maybe i should invest outside of Austin

Wow!  Your title to this thread is a very open ended question with many correct answers.  Rent depends on the type of property, the size, the condition and the availability of other rentals in the area.  Rent for a property can vary from one week to the next.  

Funny thing is some people think rent is a science.  It is more like an Art.  If your property typically shows better than your competitor and prospects want to have it the moment they walk in then you can ask top dollar.  I keep my properties better than those in my neighborhood. Therefore, it is usually me setting the market!  People willing pay more for a quality product.  

I think Bastrop would be a very good place to have a rental.  Generally speaking if you have a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit in tip top shape you probably should be at $1000 or better.  Look at the current rentals online as a guide.  Cheers.
