Issues I foresee with only access to heating thru legal Bsmt apt?

I am looking into my first property a tri plex and want to know what issues/ situations I should be foresee with having only access point to the heating , meters , furnaces is through a legal basement apartment . Thank you in advance for your input. Is it worth to forgo the deal for that? I live 15 mins from the property.
