Can a tenant set up an escrow account for rent balance?

Hi there, my husband and I are in talks to lease an ADU in Oregon from August 1 until next April. We are currently both unemployed due to the impact of Covid-19 on the tourism sector but have more than enough money to pay the entirety of the lease and security deposit upfront. However, we don't want to do that and our potential landlord doesn't feel comfortable with that either. Could opening an escrow account in this instance work? We'd rather not have to go through a whole lot of bother, but just want the easiest solution that puts the landlord (and us!) at ease. Thank you for any consideration and response!
