Rental porch access

I live in 3 unit apartment building. I live on the top floor. I walk down my stairs and the bottom door opens to the front porch. The tenant on the first floor walks  down her hall and her front door opens to the front porch. She is on a month to month no lease. I have a lease but there is nothing in the lease about the outside area. She is claiming to me that the front porch is only for her to use and all I can use it for is to walk into my front door. She says she knows all about renting apartments and how the front porch area “works.” Before I get the landlord involved I would like to know if there is any truth to what she is claiming. If it matters she moved in after me and the tenant before her had no such claims and welcomed the me to the building when I moved in and told me that we each use the front porch. The current tenant is not very nice and has problems with everything that goes on in this apartment unit. Any advice is appreciated.
