Pensacola, FL - new to real estate and investing

Ryan Gov
Posted

Hi all. I am moving to Pensacola in a few months and will be stationed there for 1 year. I am interested in investing in a property for long term rental but I do not have much knowledge on its market nor do I have any connections in the area. Is there anyone who can help me in one or more of these aspects?

@Ryan Gov keep reading here. There is aton of information on getting started and how to keep moving.

The best way to learn a particular market is to look at lots of deals. I have heard it called the 100 house rule. "Until you have looked at 100 houses, you don't really know your market"

Look at all kinds of deals. Open houses, listed properties, wholesalers deals, from you own marketing, auctions, and especially other investors deals if you can get them to show you. Ask them everything you can about the deal, how they got it and the numbers.
