Hi,

I have a tenant ,he indicated possiblity of moving out soon after I raised rent. He mentioned there is a "possibility" that he will move out

as he applied for a job out of state. He mentioned there is a "potential" that he may get a OOS job in September. This keeps me in a limbo and tight spot on when I can start marketing the apartment for rent. How should I handle this situation?

Thanks

I agree with @Matthew Irish-Jones, enforce your minimum notice requirements. If you raised the MTM rate, ensure they are paying that new rent amount in full. There is nothing else to do until you get firm notice.

We very rarely show occupied units/pre-lease. Not only do they usually not show well (with certain exceptions of course), but also things happen and your tenant might be delayed moving out. If you've already signed a lease with your next tenant, it can get complicated.
