Transferring to LLC - Void of Title Warranty

Ryan Bird
Posted

I'm seeing conflicting posts regarding quit claim deed transfer to owner's LLC triggering a loss of title insurance so thought I will post this again.

This is a property bought under both mine and my wife's name. I created an LLC (myself as single member) and now I want to transfer property to LLC through quit claim deed. Few questions -

Will this cause any issue with title insurance and make it void? Who can confirm - the attorney or title company?

What are the steps to take once I start the LLC. Bank account, current home owners insurance etc.

What are the good steps (checklist) to ensure there are no co-mingling and avoid piercing the corporate veil?

Do I need CPAs even though it's a single member LLC?
