Adding Basement Water Issues to a Lease
I have a tenant wanting to renew their lease next month for one of my SFH's. The basement of the house has walls erected to make 2 rooms (not bedrooms due to no closets). The tenant is allowed to use these rooms for storage but I don't want them to call me every time there is some water seeping in. I had the foundation sealed and a French drain installed but still have some water come in when we have a heavy rain. Is their a way I can word something in the lease renewal acknowledging that there are water issues but since this is not a living area, some water is possible?
