Reserves for rental properties

I’ve done all my investing through private money lenders and sellers finance. No money down because I’m younger obviously I don’t have a huge income. I’m just looking for a more experienced person to give me advice to keep myself from taking any steps backward while I have momentum. I’ve got 5k for each unit in reserves right now which would cover most major repairs, but I’m not sure if I should keep that amount, increase or decrease as I grow.
