Rules for House Hacking

Elliot Friedman
Posted

Hello I am new to real estate, and am about to buy a house hack. I was wondering what my fellow house hackers have implemented in terms of rules for their tenants. For example, do you have a schedule for who takes out the trash, recycling, or who does the monthly vaccumming, etc. I am new to all of this, however I know that I need to have all of these details ironed out BEFORE tenants sign the lease so that they know what they are agreeing to. Otherwise I am setting myself up for disappointment when they do not follow rules and I have to pick up after them.

If you are an experienced house hacker or have suggestions, please let me know what rules and things you add to your lease to make sure that your house stays clean and running well.

I have read Craig Curelop's book on the house hacking strategy and it goes through a lot of things and provided me the confidence to go after this deal, however this was one question I still was left with at the end.
