Wording concerning security deposit when renewing lease

The lease I have with a tenant currently states "The Tenant agrees to pay the Landlord $1275 as a security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to the Tenant...blah blah"

When the lease renews should I change that wording to something like "tenant currently has a security deposit in escrow.
The security deposit will be returned to the Tenant...blah blah"?

@Mitchell Johnson

I merely write a 1 page addendum with the new lease length and rate. Addendum states “all other lease terms remain in effect”.
