Rentals and neighbors
For those who own homes in older neighborhoods, particularly ones with single-family homes, how often do you have interactions with the other property owners in the neighborhood? Have you ever found it helpful to your investment to engage others who live in the neighborhood? Have you ever been in a situation where a neighbor asked you to make improvements or adjustments to your property, or to market for a particular caliber of tenant?

Shannon,
we have several properties like this. We make it a point to introduce ourselves to the direct neighbors and share contact information. This has helped us establish decent relationships and communication with them. Most of the time this has been helpful, although occasionally issues have come up.
We make every attempt to manage and maintain our properties well, this helps us In addition to the neighborhood.
