Clarity on how to use NOI.

Hello everyone.......Question.......I've heard that NOI only applies to commercial properties. Can we use this measure for single family homes, duplexes or quadplexes? Can someone explain why or why not?

@Chris Risi

Uncontrollable costs which are your responsibility

1. Always get a tenant to pay utilities.

2. Keep your units in good shape to avoid misc. maintenance calls

3. Manage it like a business- review where your money is going and what can be done to save on $.
