How does the "no evictions" effect end of lease actions

Aaron Burns
Posted

So your lease ends and for whatever reason you don't want to renew it but the tenant refuses to leave.  Is there any recourse to get the tenant out?  For example, I have a few of my houses that I may sell once the lease is up to lower my risk in this sector.

Pardon my French but isn't that a little ****ed? Like in Massachusetts they just passed a bill that says you can't evict your tenant unless they are a danger to neighbors or causing some kind of health issue. Is that to say that once their lease is up, they just are automatically granted squatter's rights by our government?
