Zillow Rentals Taken Down

Quick question:

How do you know when a property on Zillow was rented or if the post was just removed?

I just saw three properties taken today and I think it is from this whole switch that Zillow made for charging for advertising.

Zillow, like all the other site, get their listings from the various local Multiple Listing Services (unless fsbo of course). Many times the data flow is t perfect so when it’s removed or closed out on the source mls Zillow doesn’t update.

That’s one reason to work with a local Realtor so that you can get the direct info from the mls. Or, don’t view Zillow but use the mls website, and you do t have to bother a Realtor if you don’t want to use one.

Zillow and other secondary marketing sites are tough to beat, on their marketing (and maybe their interface). In my area, the mls sure gives the same info realtors look at, just not the commission info and restricted agent remarks. I tell my clients this all the time, but they rarely use it
