Asset Protection (Umbrella Policies and LLCs)
Good day,
Has anyone heard of the company below? I have 5 rental properties. 2 of them are in an LLC. In addition to carrying a $300K liability coverage on all of them, I have a $1M personal umbrella policy. I am thinking that I need to place all of them under the LLC or at least have 2 LLCs given I have 4 properties in GA and 1 in Alabama and will be expanding. I am thinking that I may also need a commercial umbrella policy instead of personal umbrella policy for the rentals. The issue is I want to obtain the equity from my homes and if I place them in the LLC, then I need to take them back out of the llc to obtain the equity if the bank will not allow me to obtain the loan in the LLC name. I am open to your advice. Also, have you heard of the company below? Thanks, Roshael
