Tenant prescreening - has a felony 7 years back

Vijay Rao
Posted

During the background check I found that the prospective tenant had a first degree narcotics felony on his record 7 years back. But he has a very good credit score. Can some one please help me here. Do you think that is it safe to assume that he had changed as there are no recent felonies or should I skip him. In this crazy market, I am not getting many tenants.

Any felony history would be a disqualifier for me. You'll just have to make that decision based on your criteria.
