How to Find Landlord Insurance

Amanda Williams
Posted

Hello!
So I've read through several Bigger Pockets conversations with similar topics. But I haven't been able to find much useful information. There are a lot of 'let me send you an email' type responses. But that, of course, does little good to other readers five years later.

I was hoping to get some more substantial tips or tricks on how to find affordable landlord insurance. I of course have seen many people recommend you get multiple quotes. But is there a good way to find the most likely quotes without getting massive amounts of spam?

What types of add-ons usually pay off? How much liability coverage should someone look for? How can you find quotes that cover cash value rather than replacement value?

Any specific advise on how to find, evaluate, negotiate, and select a landlord insurance policy would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
