Inherited Tenants and Estoppal Agreement

Susie Ruffini
Posted

I made an offer on 5 unit multi property and asking for contingency clause in PA to review actual lease agreements or get estoppal note from each existing tenant. I was send a blank lease agreement and received the following email from the seller.

“Please understand that by law I am not able to provide you with any documents that my tenants personal private protected information is on, but at closing you will receive the files”

Is this true? I don’t feel comfortable signing PA without reviewing the actual leases. How would I know if the blank lease she sent is the actual lease they all signed?
