Etiquette for prospective tenants
We have several people interested in one rental. Do you disclose that you will be showing it to others? Do you cancel appointments if someone great comes along before you show it to everyone else?

Never take the unit off the market until you have a signed agreement and cash in hand.
You should continue to market and show your unit until you have a signed lease or a signed holding agreement with a holding fee. Once you make your selection, tell the prospect that you will continue to market it until they give you the signed lease or the holding agreement. Most suggest putting a time limit on them so you can offer it to second best if they don't wanna move on it quickly.
