Engineered hardwood in vacation rental?

Anyone have engineered hardwood in a vacation rental? How has it held up? We have looked high and low for a nice LVT (knowing it’s the most durable and waterproof) in our cottage by the beach, but there has Been nothing that we’ve even somewhat liked, the tones just haven’t worked.  We fell in love with an engineered hardwood maple but were nervous about scratches and scoffs and dents! We know it’ll happen but for those who have it is it a total nightmare or worth it for a nice look? We aren’t right on the sand but a block away - it’s not a luxury rental or the nicest out there, but it is nice and we want it to feel nice.  Any input? We are so torn. I should also say that it’s our vacation home as well so a lot of our decisions have been for our own personal preference while also factoring in that it’s a rental.

@Wendy McIntire I would keep looking for some Luxury vinyl. I have installed it in 5 units and it holds up well and looks great. I am just redoing a basement unit and found a company called Flooret that has a direct sales model and we really liked their products and they have a 40 mil wear layer which should stand up to pretty much anything. Hope that helps!
