Advice for Nola Rental
Hi all.
I own a small bldg in Nola but don’t live locally.
I’ve rented out two units successfully this past year with the help of my handyman who is local. Each of those units was vacant at the time they were available (one tenant was out early and the other unit is my furnished unit). This unit that’s available after the first week of March is the nicest in the bldg but the tenants have a lot of stuff (they’ve been running a screen printing shop out of the second bedroom). The move-in date is odd as my tenant’s gave notice on 2/6 as they want extra time but most people need a 3/1 move-in date.
I’m curious if anyone local to Nola could take a look and see if you think I’m asking too much and/or if I should wait for them to vacate. I don’t have to do that with rentals here in Los Angeles so that would be new for me.
Thanks!
