Property management ?

In some states property managers are required to get their CPM (Certified Property Manager) or ARM (Accredited Residential Manager) certifications

I live in SC and the see if my state required those certifications, I didn’t see in that any of those were required by law. So with that being said, what advice from property managers can you pass on to someone who is trying to become one. Is getting the certifications worth it?
