First "luxury" house hack

I'm closing on my first house hack in a month. It will be a "luxury" house hack as I am renting out a separate in-law-unit. For those who have done it before, anything I need to get approved with the township before I put it up for rent? Any tips/tricks to make it a more seamless process. Will definitely be screening the tenets diligently.
