Section 8 Assistance

Good morning BP Fam:

I just have a short intro here. Are you able to section 8 anywhere? Just have an inspection and your house is approved? Also, any suggestions or advice from current HUD landlords is appreciated.

A 4-plex foreclosure just popped up in my area and was thinking about jumping on it. Needs a TON of work. Any notes on previous experiences would be appreciated.

In order to qualify, an approved section 8 tenant in the program must want to rent the unit.  Then you go through the process of approval. You cannot go to the housing authority and ask to get your building approved that is not how it works.  Not sure why?
