Potential tenants extremely picky
Hi -
I have potential tenants who have looked at my place before moving in & seem to be incredibly picky, asking for all sorts of “fixes.”
Some I can do & agree with, most not.
I was thinking of having them make a list of all the things that are critical and those that they’d like me to look into, but are liveable.
I haven’t signed a lease, but wondering if anyone has advice on how to head off a misunderstanding, or would you just pass entirely on a picky tenant.
Thx for any input!

Pass. During the application period, applicants should be trying to demonstrate themselves in the best light possible. If they are complaining now, expect that to be 3x worse once they move in.
At most, take their feedback into consideration so you can rent the unit at full market rate. IE if they are complaining of a hole in the wall, fix that and market it to the 10s or 100s of other folks who would simply pass on applying vs. making a complaint of it.
