Did your 2020 start out like this? UGH!

January 1st was a very windy day. I got a call from the police department that there was a problem at a small mobile home park I manage. A shed from one of the rentals blew across the street and onto the neighbor's car.

This is where the shed used to be.

This is where it ended up about 100 yards away.

This is the brand new car it landed on.

The car is literally two weeks old. It also damaged their truck and an SUV. 

It's mostly scratches but it's still going to be a pretty large bill just to repaint three vehicles.

How's your 2020 so far?

Bummer this.  Just noted the ratio of asset values in play here.  

Headline: $6,000 homeowner has $40,000 in cars damaged by neighbor's $50 flying shed.    Smh
