Running a credit and background check myself for potential renter

I have a couple applying for our rental. They are foreign nationals who've lived here over 5 years. I've verified income, employment, and rental history. All of those check out perfectly. The problem I'm having is online screening. The online application process was confusing, so we did all of that the old fashioned way with paper. They've given me signed permission to check their credit and background, but I can't find a way to do that myself. Smartmove was too confusing for them. Any advice would be helpful.
