buying/managing property thats in different province

Im a first time home buyer, or will be. Im interested in purchasing and managing a multi unit property. At the time of the purchase I will be living out of province from the potential rental, with the plan of moving to that city (hopefully into another property) within the following year. Any advice/tips/warnings etc would be greatly appreciated
