Tenant rental verification for mortgage

Renee O'Reilly
Posted

I rented our single family home in October 2019, three months ago, with a one year lease to a tenant.  Today I received a rental verification from a bank regarding a new mortgage for our tenant.  The tenant has not informed me that she will be breaking the lease.

I don't want to jump to conclusions but I would like to know what are her intentions.

Regarding early termination of the lease agreement our lease states

"Any notice to terminate this tenancy must comply with the applicable legislation of the State of
Missouri (the "Act")."

what advice do you have for this situation?

Would it best to write her an email to find out what her plans are or wait until she tells me?
