Tenant Files Bankruptcy
I Had lunch with my property manager, and she told me that a tenant can file for bankruptcy protection and not have to pay rent until a judge makes a ruling. And, she added that you cannot evict them in this case unless their lease expires.
My question is 1. Does anyone have experience they can share? and, 2. If true, what can be done to mitigate owner losses?
Thanks.
