House hacking with FHA loan
I currently live with my parents in lancaster PA. I am planning on buying a multi unit property with an FHA loan for the purpose of house hacking. I understand that an FHA loan requires you to live in the property for a minimum of one year. My question is could I still live at my parents house the majority of the time, and perhaps change my mailing address to the new residence. I would not try to rent out the unit that i have assigned myself. It would be more comfortable and convenient for me to keep my current living situation and I have no reason to move out, but I do want to reap the rewards of a house hack near my parents house. I would still be close enough to manage the property effectively and I might even stay there in my unitoccasionally.
