Ductless mini split AC system for rental

I am debating whether to put an ductless mini split AC system for my duplex. I am in Indiana and I am worried that it will be to expensive to run in the winter. Heating is the main issue here. Does anyone have experience with these systems in the cold climates?

We installed mini split heating & cooling‎ systems for the main purpose of cooling in the summer but they've also been used to supplement the heating during the winter in our rental units & home in Massachusetts. We LOVE them!
