Clarification on FHA loans for investments, answers appreciated!

Hi everyone!

So I have read conflicting information regarding using an FHA loan for an investment property. I understand that you cannot use an FHA to immediately rent out to tenants. And I understand that they require you to live in the home for 12 months. So my question is, if I use an FHA loan to purchase my first home and live in it for 12 months, can I rent it out after that 12 months is up?
