Landlord tenant breach of lease
I have a question to ask to see if I have a case.
I'd signed a 1 year lease and it said dogs were allowed and I added the words in house and had the landlord initial it. Now I am told that my pedigree weimarner dogs are not allowed in the house when we are not there and I told the landlord that I could not do that and we would be out by the first of the month which I had text the landlord and said we had move out early. The landlord said that this was the first she heard of this from me and I had text back with the date and where we had the discussion. Now I am told that I owe them according to the lease and I replied text that they breach the lease when they said my dogs could not be in the house. I am fine with getting out of the house because they could never remember what they say. I want to know if I take them to court will I have a very good chance of winning and getting my security deposit back. Also after I had informed them that I was moved then that night they walked thru the house without me and place a for rent sign and now have shown the house several time which I'd took picture of them at the house with people viewing the home. Can they do this when my rent is paid til the first and can they hold me to a lease if they rent it out again. All I want is the deposit back.
