Can you rent a room in your home via Section 8?

Can you rent out a room in your home via Section 8? Also, I noticed Section 8 restricts from renting to family members. Are there work arounds for this? My wife’s grandmother is moving in and qualifies for Section 8. Any help is appreciated.
