Property management in Las Vegas

Kara Thornton
Posted

Hi,

My husband and I own 4 small properties in Las Vegas. I have been thinking of self-managing the properties because I had 2 management companies and they were a disappointment. I don't have any real estate license and I don't know the laws and rules. Is this a good idea? Where would I learn to professionally manage my own properties? I am also afraid of managing the taxes and accounting because the property management companies usually do a good job with providing a spreadsheet of monthly numbers. I don't know how to do this.

Replied

Any good mold inspector will know where to test for mold. Just contact one and do the inspection asap. Then deal with mold remediation. After you finish that ask the inspector to come again and do mold clearance inspection. Keep both mold inspection reports for your records to prove that you properly identified and solved the problem.
