My first time inheriting tenants

Hello I am getting ready to close on a rental property that has two tenants that are already occupying the units what are some of the first steps I should do in terms of introducing myself and collecting rents and things of that nature should I asked to see updated paystub‘s what suggestions or feedback do you have about inheriting tenets?
