Do property managers charge you to see your homes?

We have properties in Memphis and live out of state. We’re traveling this week to Memphis and have requested that we see our properties. We try to do this every year and have never had a problem. Our property manager now is saying they are going to charge us $75 per house to see the homes. They also said we were not allowed to visit the homes without them. Is this normal practice for Property Management?

If a PM tried to tell me I couldn't visit my own units without paying them to tag along, I'd be shopping for a PM...
