Welcome guide for tenants

Andy Mejia
Posted

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place but I wanted to know if anyone had a solid welcome guide for tenants when they first move in. Something I can edit where I introduce myself and what I'm about. This would also entail lease agreements, contact info etc. This would really help me out.

Thanks,

Andy Mejia

@Andy Mejia, I like the Welcome Guide.  Typically I provide them with a mini-gift basket of the necessities; light bulbs, batteries, $25 Lowes gift card, cleaning supplies and air filters.  On occasion I have bought them pizza on move-in day as well.

Starting off a relationship right is very important.  Not that I'm a great or the best landlord, but I do try to let them know I appreciate their business and hope they return the favor by treating my property respectfully.

I once rented an apartment, where the management company would do this... They would leave a little gift basket with some items that are handy during move in.

I forget what all was in there - maybe a few trash bags, some dish soap, a couple scrubby sponges, a bottle of hand soap or some paper towels. It's the kind of stuff you'd need before you get yours unpacked.

It probably only cost about 5 bucks, but it came across as a nice touch and helped give a good first impression.
